Our Story
Brandon's story:
What a blessed life we've had! I was born in West Virginia, and later moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I became active in my church and youth group. It was in a 'normal' weekday youth service where the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and called me to missions. I went on many missions trips throughout high school and college, where my passion for culture and language really developed. It was while in college, having the opportunity to serve in Southeast Asia, that I became aware of how truly vast the gap is between who have made a decision to follow Christ, and people who have never even heard about Jesus. How truly heart-breaking!
I finished my degree in Intercultural Studies and Languages from North Central University in Minneapolis, MN in May 2014. I have had the WONDERFUL opportunity to work part-time as the Missions Director at Central Church in Green Bay, and full-time at GSC (based in Germantown, WI) on the Operations team. My gifting in administration, and my passion for missions has had the opportunity to thrive these past several years as we have started our family!
Rachel's story:
I was born and raised in Central Pennsylvania. In 9th grade, I was called to full-time ministry. It was a powerful moment that forever changed the trajectory of my life. While in college, the Holy Spirit directed this call more specifically to missions. It was during this time that I first learned about "unreached people groups." I was blown away by the fact that there were still many people who had never heard the name of Jesus. My heart broke. I knew God was leading me to GO!
With a degree in music, I graduated from North Central University in Minneapolis, MN in May 2014. Shortly after graduation, I began serving as the Worship Pastor at a church in Green Bay, WI. During this time, I was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer, and had my entire left lung removed. You can read about God's amazing healing in my life on my blog here!
Our Family:
We were married in August 2013, in our senior year at North Central University in Minneapolis, MN. While living in Minneapolis, we loved serving as youth leaders at Emmanuel Christian Center.
We moved to Green Bay, WI in the summer of 2014. There, we began serving at a church as the Missions Pastor (Brandon) and the Worship Pastor (Rachel). Green Bay quickly became our home! We fell in love with the people we served, and were blessed with an amazing church family.
In 2015, we welcomed our first addition, Lena! She is spunky, brilliant little girl who makes everyday an adventure. She loves music and loves food with lots of flavor (she'll do great in Thailand!).
In 2017, shortly after Rachel's cancer diagnosis and subsequent surgeries, we welcomed our second miracle baby, Jori! She is the perfect addition to our growing family. God's amazing protection over her life has already been greatly revealed. Read more on Rachel's blog!
